This walk follows a gentle gradient, with picturesque views over Okupe Lagoon and the marine reserve. Open year-round. Approx 1 hour 30 mins.

Boulder Bank Loop Track – Off-season only
Enjoy a coastal walk around the boulder bank. This track is closed from October to March (unless with a guide) to avoid disturbing nesting seabirds. Approx 45 mins.

Important Information

*Please note that Kapiti Island experiences operate weekends only through Winter, and are unavailable in August each year**

This package is for return ferry only and includes necessary Department of Conservation permits.
The ferry departs from the Kapiti Boating Club at Paraparaumu Beach approximately 8:00am (please check your sailing time with reservations the night before as sailing times can change), and returns at approximately 12:30pm.
A trip to Kapiti Island is dependent on sea & weather conditions. Kapiti Island Nature Tours operate from September 1st to May 30th.
Sailings are usually daily from October to May, and Friday to Sunday in September, depending on visitor demand. This can vary though, so please don’t hesitate to call or email to check availability.
