Tom will be your guide for your private dedicated winery tour to Martinborough. A self confessed foodie and lover of fine wine, he is well appointed to show off some of the great wineries in the Martinborough region.
The tour includes:
- Scenic drive from Wellington up through the Hutt Valley to the Remutaka Hill summit, 555 metres above sea level
- View the Remutaka Crossing monument commemorating 60,000 New Zealand troops who made the crossing from the Featherston Military Camp to the Port of Wellington in World War One
- Visit 3 boutique, family owned wineries where you will taste a wide range of wines from Martinborough’s famous Pinot Noir, Syrah, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc
- Have an in-depth conversation with a Wine Maker/Vineyard Owner to understand what it takes to produce consistently great wine
- Enjoy a beautiful platter lunch at one of the wineries featuring local produce
